Eternal Truths Series, Book 1

Time is on their side and they can be together, assuming the truth doesn't ruin everything first.

Immortals born in the thirteenth century, Lucien Riordan and Ranulf Styr have waited centuries to be reunited with their love. Want for her cemented their friendship through time even as it tore it apart. She changed their lives, made them want better, and they plan to show her that. There’s only one catch—she’s never met them before.

Eris Brue is flattered by Lucien and Ranulf’s attention but they are her bosses. She doesn’t want to get tangled up in an office romance, especially not with two men. Their joint seduction overcomes her resolve and she gives in even though she knows they are keeping secrets that could doom their relationship.

Centuries of planning have finally come to fruition. Lucien and Ranulf have a short amount of time to make Eris love them, because once time has her, everything could come to an end.

Read Chapter One

Excerpt

Every part of her wanted to burst in the room and demand to know what they were talking about. Every part except the scared part. She backed away quietly.

Whatever it was, she didn’t want to know. Not right that moment. It was cowardly, but she didn’t want to find out what they were keeping from her and then end up losing them.

She walked quickly to the front door. First, she had to save the family computer from her mother, and then she’d worry about Ranulf and Lucien and their secret.

“Eris? Where are you headed?” Ranulf called.

She didn’t stop walking or even look at him when he caught up with her. “I have to leave for a little bit. My Mommy called with an emergency.”

“Nothing serious, I hope.”

“No. She’s just trying to kill the computer and I have to stop her. I’ll be back in a few hours.” She wanted to get away from him and think about what she’d heard.

“I’ll come with you then.”

She stopped and looked up at him. “Excuse me?”

“I want to meet her. This is as good a time as any.”

Lucien joined them. “Good time for what?” He looked between them.

Eris couldn’t believe how they were acting like nothing was wrong. They both smiled and joked. She wanted to scream at them. Instead, she said, “Nothing. I’ll be back.”

Ranulf caught her arm before she could walk away. “Eris, is something wrong? You seem angry.”

What are you hiding from me?

Who is this other woman you were talking about a moment ago?

When is she coming back?

They were all questions she wanted to yell. Looking into Ranulf’s eyes, she couldn’t utter one of them. She took a breath and shook her head. “It’s nothing. I’m just distracted.”

He cupped her cheek, and she stopped herself from pulling away. “If you don’t want me—”

“Us,” Lucien corrected.

“—to go, then we won’t.”

She shook her head. “No, it’s not that. You can come. I’m sure she’d love to meet you.”

What was she thinking? She didn’t want them meeting her family if they would be dumping her soon. And what about last night and all that talk about being prepared?

“Eris?” Ranulf leaned into her.

She turned away quickly and headed out the door. “If you’re coming then you need to move it. I have to beat Alphie home and fix whatever My Mommy broke.”

Lucien said, “I think I’m looking forward to meeting Alphie the most.”

They piled into Eris’s car. She left black skid marks in her wake.

Reviews

"...gone to the top of my must read pile. I was so taken in by the characters I loved, yes loved this book... The characters came to life for me, they all had flaws and imperfections and that’s what made them real to me." ~ GJM, Rites of Romance, Recommended Read

"...I cried, laughed, had moments of incredible frustration, but in the end fell in love... This is a must read for anyone who likes time travel romance..." ~ Yadkny, Happily Ever After Reviews, 5 Tea Cups

"If this were a movie, it would be a box office smash... So if you’re looking for a fast paced book with hunky immortals born in the thirteen century who find themselves captivated by a twenty first century woman, this book is definitely for you!" ~Dakota, Dark Diva Reviews, 5 Divas

"...Renee takes pride in developing rich, three-dimensional characters that continue to grow at every turn of the page... I found myself stalking the novel, devouring each page, and craving to know what happens next. I was also incredibly impressed that there wasn’t a single grammatical error in the book, which is something I’m quite critical about when reviewing novels... I don’t do ratings, but if I had to categorize Eris, I would call it “Literary Perfection.”" ~ Zee, Fire Pages Reviews
